Comments – Navoda travels

In February 2018 we travelled in Sri Lanka from Sigiriya to Tissamaharama and then back to Colombo. At our arrival we received a warm welcome from our guide Rassi and were surprised with a beautiful orchid flower garland. Together with Rassi we had made a plan for our trip in advance, which included visits to Sigiriya Rock (Lions Rock), Polonnaruwa (ancient capital city), Ritigala (ruins of a Bhuddist Monastery), safari In Kaudulla National Park, Cave Temples of Dambulla, a tea plantation and factory, the market in Nuwara Eliya, Kataragama and finally a safari in Yala National Park. It was an amazingly beautiful trip and Rassi was wonderful. He is very considerate and always based our day plan on our wishes. He has a tremendous knowledge of the country and culture and enthusiastically shares beautiful facts and stories about the environment, nature, culture, religion and local traditional cuisine. Rassi takes you uto places you would never have discovered on your own. Our trip to Sri Lanka was an unforgettable adventure thanks to Rassi!

We had the pleasure to enjoy a two weeks journey through Sri Lanka with Rassi. Rassi was our driver and guide. In our opnion he is a very good and safe driver. He is also a great organizer and feels responsible for his clients. What we appreciated a lot was, that Rassi managed to be flexible and spontaniously brought our wishes into our journey. He knows so much about this country and explained us a lot as well as answered all our questions. We had a lot of fun with Rassi and we definitely recommend him as a driver and guide.

Rassi is amazing. He took me on a short tour of approximately 4 days in which he impressed me with his knowledge about Sri Lanka's culture, nature and history. Even though I had booked a defined itinerary, he made everything possible to adjust it flexibly to my needs (and the unfortunately quite rainy weather) as the tour continued. Rassi is a safe driver and I alway felt secure with him. He gave me some good advice for the rest of my stay and he definitely made me want to come back in the near future to discover the rest of this picturesque country with its stuiing wildlife and friendly folks.

We had an excellent ten day round trip in Sri Lanka! We were lucky to have such a friendly, caring, knowledgeable and well organized guide; always making sure we got the most out of our time in this beautiful country! Rassi was so kind to even help us arrange the transport back after the trip had finished. All the early mornings were definitely worth it as we got to enjoy the incredible views without huge crowds of tourists! Overall, it was a great mix of cultural and nature in the program, and despite staying for only ten days it feels like we saw a lot! (But there's also still enough left to come a second time :D)! Thank you very much for everything, we certainly had an unforgettable time!
