Day 1 - Airport to Sigiriya
On this day we will drive to Sigiriya, which is the center for exploring the major Buddhist archeological sites in Sri Lanka. En route, we will visit to Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. In the late afternoon we will climb the specatacular rock fortress of Sigiriya, which is one of the major tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 2 - Sigiriya to Kandy
Kandy is the next stop on this tour. At 500m above sea level. Kandy is the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. We visit the Temple of Tooth, which houses the sacred tooth of Buddha. We will also enjoy a tour around the city, with its cooler climate and bustling town center. In the late afternoon enjoy a cultural show featuring the various dances of Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 3 - Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Departure for Nuwara Eliya, a 3-hours drive. Situated at nearly 1900m, it used to be the summer resort of the British. It is a beautiful town set against the backdrops of English country-style houses, tea plantations and waterfalls. Along the way we will visit a tea plantation and the market in Nuwara Eliya. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 4 - Nuwara Eliya to Yala National Park
Today we will travel to Yala National Park. On the way we will stop at Ella Waterfalls and in the afternoon we will explore the wild life in Yala National Park. Overnight stay near Yala National Park.
Day 5 - End of the tour
Drop off at the airport or any place you like to extend your stay in Sri Lanka.
